Is Matajirai an online store or a messaging tool?
Matajirai combines both in one product: a full online store (section editor, catalog with variants, inventory, payments, tax and invoices), a shared inbox for WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger, and an AI agent that works from the same data. Messaging is optional.
What does the AI sales agent do?
It answers your customers on WhatsApp, Instagram Direct and Messenger using your prices, variants, stock levels and order statuses. It recommends products, sends a ready-to-pay order link and transfers the conversation to your team for sensitive requests. It is included from the Business plan, including during the trial; each reply sent uses one AI credit.
Which channels can I sell on?
Your online store, WhatsApp (order link or official API), Instagram Direct and Messenger, comments on your Facebook and Instagram lives, TikTok Shop, Meta, Google and TikTok catalog feeds, the Matajirai marketplace and the in-store POS. One catalog, one stock.
Does Matajirai take a commission on my sales?
No, when you use your own gateways: 0% on every plan, trial included. Your customers pay you directly (cards through your own account, bank transfer, cash on delivery, Mobile Money). If you choose Matajirai integrated payments for cards, service fees apply per transaction; they are shown before activation and the service is optional.
Can I try before paying?
Yes. Signing up gives you a 14-day free trial of the Business plan, with no credit card required. You are notified 3 days and 1 day before the trial ends. If no plan is selected, the store is paused (storefront closed) with no data loss and reopens as soon as payment is made.
Which countries and currencies are supported?
Matajirai is available worldwide. Your store sells in the currency of your choice and can show prices in the buyer's currency. The subscription is paid in euros, or in CFA francs for stores in the XOF and XAF zones (10 countries): the Business plan costs €29 or 15,000 FCFA per month, and the yearly plan gives you 2 months.
Are the site and merchant dashboard available in Arabic?
Yes. The platform is available in French, English and Arabic, with a right-to-left layout. In Arab countries it appears as “Matajir by Matajirai”. Your store itself can be offered in several languages to your buyers.
Can I bring over an existing catalog?
Yes. CSV import accepts the Shopify export format (products, variants, options, images, stock). The REST API, signed webhooks and the App Store let you connect Matajirai to your other tools.
How do I cancel my subscription?
You can cancel from your merchant dashboard: your plan stays active until the end of the paid period, then the store is paused. Your data can be exported as CSV (orders from Starter, products and customers from Business, otherwise on request to support), and nothing is deleted unless you ask.
